Search Engine Optimization Success - Chrysalis Sculpture Studio

Renate Burgyan, bronze sculpture artists and owner of Chrysalis Sculpture Studio contacted me several years ago to help her website with higher search engine placement. At the time her website was being maintained by another web design company and had been designed using frames. She was told by the other company that the only way she could get her website listed in the search engines was to set up a pay-for-click account with Google.

On first glance it was obvious what the problem was. There were no meta tags on the pages (essential for search engine placement) and the site was designed using frames. Renate did not want to have the whole site redesigned at the time, so we left site so it appeared to have the same design, but took the information out of the frames format. We performed keyword research on the bronze sculpture industry and compiled the keywords for her review. She pick out the ones that applied to her company and expressed a desire to have her name come up in the search engines. At the time her site did not come up if you typed in Renate Burgyan. With the desired keywords identified, we added meta tags to the coding and keywords to the text.

A week after we optimized the site without any additional fees for the search engines when Renate Burgyan was typed in her site appeared in the first five entries on the first page of Google. The only other entries were for other sites that also listed her name. Her site eventually reached number 1 placement.

Impressed by the fact that the placement changed so rapidly even though her other web design company felt strongly that nothing we could do would ever change her placement; she asked CKFS to redesign her site.

The newly designed site incorporated her ideas with sound coding, database driven and optimized text.
